  5. InstallMaster is a tool which enables you to easily install any software
  6. package.
  7.  
  8. The only thing to do is to follow the following steps.
  9.  
  10. Read carefully this help file.
  11.  
  12. If in this file is spoken something about variables is spoken, your are
  13. requested after reading this help file to specify a path name.
  14. In this case a window will be opened with a stringgadget on it. Then you
  15. can simply type in the path for the variable. Pressing return ends the
  16. input. The path you should enter is the location the files of this
  17. installation should be copied to. If you want to specify a disk then
  18. add an ':' to the end of the name e.g.
  19.  
  20.             'df0:'
  21.  
  22. (without any ' s).
  23. If you instead want to specify a directory you have to add an '/' e.g.
  24.  
  25.             'df0:tools/'
  26.  
  27. IntuitionInterface:
  28.  
  29. The left side of the large listview gadgets displays the source files
  30. while the right side displays the desinations.
  31.  
  32. You can easily exclude a source file. First click on its name,
  33. then click the 'Remove' button.
  34.  
  35. You can also change a destination. First click on its name and then on
  36. the 'Exclude ...' gadget.

  38. After you have set up all you want you can start the installation by
  39. clicking on the 'Start Installation ...' button.

  41. If you want to leave the program click on the 'Quit Installation' button.
  42. If an installation is in progress you can stop the installation by
  43. clicking the 'Stop Installation' button and hold down this until the
  44. program stops.

  46. There are a few extra options available. (this are the checkboxes)
  47. If a checkbox is active you can see a hook in the box otherwise none.

  49. Ask:    if the 'Ask' option is activated, you would be asked for
  50.         confirmation for each file which should be copied.
  51.  
  52. Update: if the 'Update' option is activated, files will only be
  53.         copied, if they doesn`t yet exists on the destination
  54.         location. This is a protection for overwriting existing
  55.         files.
  56.  
  57. Makedirs: usually InstallMaster will ask you if you want to create
  58.         a dir in the destination if it does not currently exist.
  59.         If you activate the 'Makedirs' button all needed dirs will
  60.         be automatically created.
  61.  
  62. After the installation is finished a filerequester will be opened
  63. which let you select another installation file. Usually you can
  64. just cancel this filerequester and leave Installer.
